The system works!!! A driver took out 75 metres of lane barrier on SH1 - otherwise he would have been amongst the opposing traffic building to peak time.

The few remains of a three-level house in The Anchorage, Whitby. A third alarm fire with additional complications of ruptured gas line feeding the fire and a wind-borne comet's tail of big sparks that miraculously did not set fire to the scrub and bush.

An electrical fire on board a passenger train 'backfired' through the system and cut its overhead power line while it was at Mana Station, producing a double hazard for passengers. Note the live high voltage line lying over the train. (Strangely enough, four nights earlier PVFB was training on Plimmerton station and discussing exactly how to deal with this situation.
